Each child in the school decorated a ray of the sun (in wet clay - using different textures found in their classroom and writing their name). It is currently hanging in their playground outdoors.

Hand-built out of low fire white clay, steel (the backdrop), stainless steel (starfish), stained glass (eyes), copper and aluminum wire (seaweed accents), and accents of seaglass and coral. Measures approximately 36" x 24". I love creating very different versions of Tempest. The clay with the metal is a lovely combination.
